From the interviews, those from the older
generations are no whiners. They get things done with no complain.
I can't help but reflect on what was observed... why do
people of my generation, or at least myself ABC (argue, bitch, complain) so
much
It is because you (Mr. LKY) had led the pioneers and
together as ONE Singapore, did so much that
we (I) can enjoy the seeds sowed - from having a roof, to beautiful garden,
quality education and the endless list continues.
So much was given to my generation that a lot was taken for
granted. Sorry for the ungratefulness.
BUT travelling has opened my eyes - we were once like them,
undeveloped.
Even though we have our fair share of struggles BUT to them,
we are simply 好命
(fortunate) = we get to dress decently (by their standard) + have proper meals
+ roof over our heads and the list goes on and on...
I thank God that we have a leader like you who led us out of
the 'slump'. You believed in us (the pioneers) and they believed in themselves
for you so believe in them.
Without you & your vision, there will never be as much sacrifices
but without which (the sacrifices) we will not experience so much good that I
can ABC so much. Thank you, Mr. Lee and all the pioneers.
I promise to unABC myself. =)
